How do you fill as 4m stretch of stairwell wall? The idea for this reconfigurable shelf grid came from an original piece in the kitchen of my house. The shelf boxes are 12mm birch ply. They mount through a slot in the backboard, with a simple hang over grip on the back - you can see one in the images below. All very solid, all very light. The skirting shows and the backboard creates shadows, lifting the installation from the wall. I got carried away with boxes - square, rectangular, crop topped - and so there were some returns from the home owner, a relative. She went for the more pared down configuration you can see in the two ‘booked’ versions below.
